    Altered "I Series" T52 $10

    Altered T52 $10 1862 PF-1 Cr. 369.
An intriguing note as there were not any T-52 "I Series" notes printed. Expert researcher Dr. Douglas Ball discovered this and found that all "I Series" T-52's were actually No Series notes. The "I Series" was added by the nefarious in the 1880's to fool variety collectors. Dr. Ball sold his "I Series" note as an altered note when his collection went to auction in 1987.
