    Description

    T64 $500 1864.
These Confederate $500 notes include a vignette of Washington on horseback along with a Confederate flag and gear that would have been carried by the soldiers. DEO VINDICE translates as God vindicates. PMG did include the comment "stain" on the holder. However, it is difficult to discern why that comment was included. A portion of a red Treasury seal is seen at lower left on the face. There are a couple of small, very light stains on the back that certainly do not appear worthy of comment. PMG Very Fine 20.
