    T64 $500 1864.
    An attractive, evenly circulated Confederate $500 note with a portrait of General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (Jan. 21, 1824 - May 10, 1863) at lower right graded PMG Very Fine 25. Jackson was mistaken for the enemy by Confederate pickets at Chancellorsville and was fired upon. One of his arms had to be amputated as a result and he died as a result of complications of pneumonia eight days later. Upon learning of his death, General Robert E. Lee remarked "I have lost my right arm."
