    Description

    Political Campaign Overprint T68 $10 1864.
A very exciting example that is something not often seen and is different from the typical advertising note. "Presented by Capt. C. F. Johnston, Candidate for Commissioner of the Revenue. City of Richmond, VA. Democratic Primary, April 19, 1888. He will be glad to have your vote." We aren't sure whether he won or lost but what we can clearly state is that he had a lot of chutzpah. PCGS Fine 15.
