    Dr. Seth Arnold (1799-1844) began the medicine business in New London, Connecticut in the 1840s. The Cough Killer was marketed beginning in 1842. Seth Arnold, Jr. (1857-1927) established the Dr. Seth Arnold Medical Corporation in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. On the back of the advertising note is an offer that if you save the Maltese Cross centers from the outside boxes of Cough Killer, these crosses could be exchanged for premiums from the company. The label of the box is printed in black and red. According to the Homes Commission of the American Medical Association, the active ingredient in Dr. Seth Arnold's Cough Killer was morphine. Choice About Uncirculated, with a left edge nick and a bottom edge tear that reaches the frame line.
