    Description

    CT65/492 "Havana Counterfeit" $100 1864.
This is a nice example of this famous counterfeit that has plate letter D, written signatures, machine printed serial numbers, no space between standing soldier's body and elbow, smaller dimensions than a genuine note, and the back is a lighter shade of blue than for a genuine note. See A Guide Book of Counterfeit Confederate Currency by George R. Tremmel. Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
