    Description

CT65/491 "Havana Counterfeit" $100 1864. Here is a nice example of this famous counterfeit that has plate letter D, written signatures, machine printed serial numbers, no space between standing soldier's body and elbow, smaller dimensions than a genuine note, and the back is a lighter shade of blue than on a genuine note of this issue. This counterfeit is estimated as a Rarity 8, see Counterfeit Currency of the Confederate States of America, by George R. Tremmel. About Uncirculated.
