    CT65/491"Havana" Counterfeit $100 1864.
A nice high-grade example of this famous so-called $100 Havana counterfeit featuring plate letter D, handwritten signatures, machine-printed six-digit serial numbers, slightly smaller dimensions than a genuine note, and a back with a lighter shade of blue than that found on a genuine note. This piece grades PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ, with four broad margins. The last "Havana" counterfeit at this third party grade that we auctioned was a PCGS 65PPQ example that realized $705 last April.
