    Description

1864 $500 Equestrain Statue of Washington Confederate Flag on left; General T.J, "Stonewall" Jackson on right, T-64, VF-XF. This is the most popular of the affordable CSA notes, and the only one with a portrait of Stonewall Jackson. This is a key to a complete denomination set as the only other $500 issue was the T-2 Richmond, which is very rare and expensive, well beyond the budget of most collectors. This top margin is trimmed into the design at the upper left, but the note is clean and crisp with good color and bold signatures.
