T56 $100 1863.
The T56 issues were similar to the T49 with a few exceptions. The T56 notes had the date, red serial number, and "actual month of use" added by a machine. This example is serial number 16002 and was stamped "AUGUST, 1863." The central vignette is a portrait of Lucy Holcombe Pickens and the portrait on the lower right is Confederate Secretary of War George W. Randolph. The vignette on the lower left depicts two Confederate soldiers. This note has an ornate green back. PMG Choice About Unc 58 EPQ.
