    Description

    T56 $100 1863 PF-1 Cr. 403 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
This design was a continuation of the 1862 $100 design with monthly stamps added to determine bond fundability qualification for the note. The design continues to feature portraits of Lucy Pickens and George Wythe Randolph, Secretary of War, along with a vignette of two CSA soldiers. This is a pretty note in premium condition. There have been surprisingly few appearances by PF-1 notes in our auctions at this grade level or higher.
