    Description

    Replica T63 50 Cents 1863. Ad Note.
    T72 50 Cents 1864.
The T63 is not a genuine note, but was created for advertising purposes. A notation, "THIS BILL IS WORTHLESS" is seen below Jefferson Davis' portrait. The back contains an ad for Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills. Among the ailments the ad promised the pills would alleviate was giddiness. That example is Very Fine with edge splits. The 1st Series T72 example is Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
