DescriptionT45 $1 1862.
The T45s have a green "ONE" overprint as opposed to the T44s. The Confederate government was unwilling to pay for the added green overprint on this design that was added by printer Blanton Duncan, resulting in a short-lived issue. CSA Secretary of the Treasury had asked Duncan to relocate from Kentucky to Richmond. Duncan found a paper mill in Nashville, TN where the paper was purchased that the Confederate notes were printed on and 350,000 sheets were purchased. This Good example retains appeal.
