    T44 $1 1862.
    These were the first $1 notes that were authorized by the Confederate Congress. The portrait at lower right is Lucy Holcombe Pickens. She was married to the governor of South Carolina. This is an evenly circulated First Series example with nice eye appeal for the grade. Minor edge tears were cited. PCGS Apparent Fine 12.
