A note with many appealing characteristics, this piece was graded Very Fine 30 by PCGS. It was printed on paper with a CSA watermark in block letters, portions of which are visible. This is the variety with a fully handwritten date. "Issued" was handwritten in black ink next to a Charleston postmark dated Sep 6 1862 on the back. An interest paid to stamp dated 1863 from Augusta is noticed along with stamps from Macon the following two years. What appears to be initials written in black ink are also observed.
