DescriptionT41 $100 1862.
The rubber-stamped notations on the back of this example include a well printed circular "ISSUED BY JOHN BOSTON DEPOSITY SAVANNAH OCT 28, 1862" stamp along with interest paid notations from Augusta and Savannah. The Boston stampings are often not as well-executed as this example. The note was printed on watermarked paper, with all three script CSA letters present. For more information concerning John Boston and his handwritten notations, please see page 21 in Michael McNeil's Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes. Very Fine.
