This C-note was issued 150 years ago at Galveston on April 14, 1863. It also has an interest paid to 1 January, 1864 stamping on the back. See page 274 Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes by Michael McNeil. The last note that we sold issued from Galveston graded PCGS Apparent 50 and it brought $747.50 in September 2011. Our current offering is a raw Extremely Fine with a pre-printing paper crinkle near the lower right corner.
