Felix Senac - Paymaster Confederate Navy endorsement; "T" error note
T41 $100 1862 PF-23 Cr. UNL.
There are a lot of things going on with this note. After being processed on October 25, 1862, this note was first issued to the field by John Boston, Savannah Depositary, on November 15, 1862 as is seen from his round stamp. The note was then reissued by Felix Senac, Paymaster, Confederate Navy on May 2, 1863 (probably from Atlanta) as evidenced by his red ink handwritten endorsement. The note then appears to have stayed in Macon, GA, perhaps for the rest of the war, with two red Macon IP stamps paying interest to January 1, 1864 and 1865. The note is printed on paper watermarked CSA in script letters and has the telltale "T" in the field at the left edge of the center vignette. PMG grades the well inked note Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
