Cavender was also the Confederate postmaster at the same location starting on July 12, 1861. He was succeeded as postmaster on September 19, 1864 by I. M. Clark. Paper originality adorns this attractive Extremely Fine-About Uncirculated $100. The red ink dot at bottom center is original to the sheet this piece came from.
