DescriptionT41 $100 1862 PF-12 Cr. 317A Felix Senac Paymaster.
A wonderful example of this type that has nice color and paper originality. The back enlightens us as to the journey this note took during the war. The 1862 stamp of John Boston as issuer is present, followed a penned "Issued May 2, 1863 Felix Senac Paymaster" statement in red ink. Floridian Senac was in the Confederate Navy and was stationed in Atlanta in 1863. He had been a paymaster in the United States Navy before the war. After Atlanta, Senac served abroad during the years 1863-65. This is just the third time that we have offered a Senac issued note with this perhaps the nicest. Also present are 1864 and 1865 interest paid at Macon statements. PCGS Choice New 63PPQ.
