Signed by A.S. Watts and W.T. Snead, this note was processed on December 18, 1862. It was issued to the field on February 4, 1863 by the Assistant Treasurer's office in Jackson, MS as witnessed by the large issue stamp on the back. No interest payments were made. This note from the top of the sheet still sports part of the orange alignment "bullseye" used to align the tint plate. Fine on slightly darker paper with the usual edge dings and foldovers expected with this grade. There are two very minor body holes above the Register's signature and just to the left of Calhoun's portrait.
