A bright Fine-Very Fine $100 with a T. Sanford issued at Montgomery rubber stamping on the back. It is also interesting for another reason as it has a red validation date stamp of "111862" (November 18, 1862) at upper right. The stamping on this note is similar in style to that found on the T29 plated in the Fricke Field Edition on page 216 and discussed on page 217. The stamping is also similar to that found within Figure 40-4 of the T40 chapter on page 257 of Fricke.
