The note is signed by D. Lyon and J.T. Dickson, who only signed 300 sheets as a signer pair, and was originally processed on October 2, 1862. It was then issued to the field by Thaddeus Sanford, the Depositary in Montgomery, AL on November 10, 1862. At this point it started to earn interest which was paid on January 1, 1863 in Savannah. No further interest payments were made although the note was eligible for them on January 1, 1864 and January 1, 1865. The back has clear issue and IP stamps. This example grades Fine and is simply a bit rumpled; it is all there with no real damage or repairs.
