    T40 $100 1862 PF-1 Cr. 298.
    This popular "diffused steam" type is tightly trimmed but nearly fully framed. The note was processed on August 14, 1862, and issued to the field by Benjamin C. Pressley, Assistant Treasurer, from Charleston, SC, on September 16, 1862. The note also has three interest paid stamps (1863-Augusta, 1864-Charleston, and 1865-Columbia). This example features bright paper and distinct back stamps, with PCGS grading it Extremely Fine 45 PPQ.
