T40 $100 1862 PF-1 Cr. 298.
A great note with two signers on the back listed in Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes by Michael McNeil. The first signer wrote, "Sept 20/62 W.T. Goodwin Dep(ositary) Coll(ector)." The second signer penned , "Oct. 4/62 C.F. Stubbs Comy (Commissary) Agent CSA." It is known that Stubbs served in Tallahassee. Suspicion is that in this case, the non-signature part of the inscriptions was done by an unknown third hand. Below the signatures is a printed "Interest paid to 1st Jan. 1865 at Tallahasse. Fine-Very Fine with ink erosion in "Dep" of the inscription.
