    T40 $100 1862.
    The T39 grades Fine with two penned and one stamped interest paid statement on the back. The note also has a small hole at center and a moisture stain at bottom center. The T40 grades VF with pinholes. The T40 back has an issue stamp of John Boston, two stamped interest paid statements for Savannah and Macon, Georgia, and a penned statement of "H.N. Ells Nov 23, 1863." Ells was a captain who commanded Slaten's Company Artillery of the Macon Light Artillery. They finished the war at Appomattox.
