DescriptionT39 $100 1862.
A Very Good example with areas of paper loss at the margins, due partially to ink erosion. This straight steam variety Confederate $100 was "Paid out Septbr. 26, 1862" by Chas. L. Lege, Capt. & AQM, CSA. Lege was stationed at Houston, TX. According to McNeil's Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes, "...if you own a Captain Charles L. Lege endorsed 7.30 it is definitely a Trans-Mississippi issued note." Interest paid stamps in several different colors are seen on the back. Two of them list Augusta.
