DescriptionT39 $100 1862 PF-9 Cr. 291.
Processed on June 17, 1862, this $100 is signed by Watts and Snead and has the proper date and serial number for that signing pair. The left margin also contains the plate maker name "Bael." The note was issued on June 25, 1862 by John Boston, Collector / Depositary at Savannah, GA, as witnessed by his manuscript endorsement on the back. The note does not appear to have gone very far from Savannah as it has three Savannah IP stamps, noting the payment of interest to January 1, 1863, 1864, and 1865. The note grades Very Fine with a touch of ink erosion in Boston's title abbreviation (not his signature).
