DescriptionT39 $100 1862 PF-7 Cr. 292.
A somewhat scarcer variety with the small plate position letter "e" below and far from the "A". Signed by Dorsey and White, this note does not seem to match up with Thian's information (This signing pair doesn't show up for this serial number nor does the serial number show up for June 21). Specialists know that Thian's listings are not infallible, but this would be an interesting note to research further. In any case, the note was processed on June 21, 1862 with three IP stamps on the back indicating that interest was faithfully paid in January 1863, 1864, and 1865. Based on its condition it is likely that this note never went very far from a bank vault in or near Jackson, MS. PCGS grades this note Choice About New 58.
