Description

    T39 $100 1862 PF-5 Cr. 291.
John Boston issued this note on June 24, 1862. Boston was a civil agent, as explained in detail in the McNeil reference, Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes. We see far fewer notes with Boston's signature compared to his use of a rubber stamp. A second issued date of Sept. 29, 1862 has been rubber stamped on the back. Three interest paid to Savannah rubber-stamped notations are also present. PMG Choice Very Fine 35 Net, due to edge and internal damage and being stained.
