DescriptionT39 $100 1862 PF-5 Cr. 290.
This Confederate $100 is unusual as it has the penned issuance statement of "July 11th 1862" by "John Boston Coll(ector)" who was stationed in Savannah. It was printed by J. T. Patterson and has a red "bogus back." There are differing points of view about whether these back designs were to serve some official purpose or were added after the war to produce stage money or to satisfy collector demand for new varieties. PMG About Uncirculated 55 Net, with some slight evidence of a previous mounting.
