    Description

    T39 $100 1862 PF-2 Cr. UNL.
An interesting C-note that has a red validation date stamp of "91262" at upper right. The stamping on this note is similar to that found on the T29 plated in the Fricke Field Manual on page 216 and discussed on page 217. We also see three differently configured issued to dates, one from an unknown location, one from Columbus, Mississippi in blue ink, and one from Augusta in black ink. It also has three-digit serial number 132-Ag and is dated on the first day of issue, May 5, 1862.
