    Manuscript Endorsement "Wm. J. Ferguson" T41 $100 1862 PF-22 Cr. 320A.
    Captain and Assistant Quarter Master William J. Ferguson escaped Pierre Fricke's Field Edition 2014 and Michael McNeil's Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes. However, Captain Ferguson is detailed on page 260 of the recently released Confederate Quartermasters, Commissaries, and Agents by Michael McNeil. Ferguson replaced George Walker who "deserted and was never heard from." Ferguson was first stationed at Van Buren, Arkansas with the 4th Arkansas Infantry Regiment. The 4th and Ferguson was in the field in Mississippi and Alabama when this $100 was issued. Ferguson was paroled on April 26, 1865 at Greensboro, North Carolina. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
