    Manuscript Endorsement "Wm. F. Bell" T41 $100 1862 PF-56 Cr. 326.
    The first note we have offered issued by Wm. F. Bell, captain and AQM with the 9th Kentucky Cavalry. This unit was part of the 1st Kentucky Brigade commanded by Major General John C. Breckenridge. The note has a penned issue date of "Mar 30 /63." This date falls between the Battle of Stones Rivers in Middle Tennessee at the beginning of 1863 and the Siege of Jackson in July 1863 in which the 1st Kentucky participated in. Fricke gives Bell a rarity rating of R13, three to five known. PMG Very Fine 25 EPQ.
