    Manuscript Endorsement "C.D. Findlay" T41 $100 1862 PF-22 Cr. 320A.
    The face of this C-note is plated on page 262 and the back "C.D. Findlay" endorsement is plated on page 263 of Confederate Quartermasters, Commissaries, and Agents by Michael McNeil. C(hristopher) D(eSwan) Findlay issued this note on "June 22/63." At this time he was the Captain Commanding of the Ordinance Guard at the Macon Arsenal. He would eventually rise to the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was captured at Macon on April 20-21, 1865. This is the first Findlay issued note that we have auctioned. It also has the issuance rubber stamp of John Boston, dated "Nov 8 1862." PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
