Description

1862 $100 J.C. Calhoun on left; Slaves weeding Cotton in center; Confederacy Personified on right, T-41, AU. An especially eye appealing note with bold colors and crisp paper. Three margins are nice and broad, but the top margin is cut into the design. There is one corner fold, and slight signs of handling are visible throughout. The ink from the signatures, date, and endorsement on the reverse is quite dark, and has bled through in places.
