Description

1862 $1 Steamship at Sea; Lucy Holcombe Pickens on right; Liberty on left, T-44, Crisp Uncirculated. Here is a wonderful Third Series $1 that is the benefactor of an uneven cut, in that slices of two adjacent notes, plus the corner of a third note are visible. This exhibits how the Confederates did not allow much room for margins, as paper was in short supply. A pinhole is noticed and there is aging in the upper-left hand corner tip, but a great note that provides a snapshot into the printing of Confederate paper money.
