Description"Bogus Back" T39 $100 1862 PF-13 Cr. 294.
A genuine note with a "bogus back." It is believed that "bogus backs" were not added until at least the 1880's in order to create more varieties for collectors. This green ink example is of the "One Hundred Dollars" squiggly line design. An example of this back is pictured on page 50 of the Fricke 2014 reference. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
