    T13 $100 1861 Cr. 58.
Hoyer & Ludwig printed just over 629,000 of this design which was issued between October 22, 1861 and April 16, 1862. The rather crude nature of the design attracted counterfeiters whose products were nearly as good. This example has a clear PAY stamp from the Mobile Savings Bank on the back, probably indicating the bank's certification that the note was genuine. Darkly printed on bright white paper with delicate but clear signatures. This note, which was originally part of a Thian scrapbook that Mr. Hilton purchased in 1998 from Charles Anderson, Jr., was acquired for $160. PCGS grades this note Choice About New 55.
