    Popular 1861 $5 T12 Manouvrier

    T12 $5 1861 PF-1 Cr. 46 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
A rare and popular Confederate type note, this design was printed by Jules Manouvrier in New Orleans. Manouvrier's shipping prowess left something to be desired and his contract was pulled as a result of a shipment being intercepted by thieves. This note's companion denomination, a $10, was, in fact, withdrawn and never issued. Unlike many notes of this design, this example is unmolested, without condition issues, and retains a bright blue back, a unique design feature at the time of its issue. A pleasant premium grade example from a run of high grade examples in the 1760s serial number range that is sure to please.
