    Virginia September 1, 1775 £5 PCGS Extremely Fine 45.
    This is exceptional grade for a five-pound James River Bank Virginia Note. PCGS has italicized the 45 grade due to a small repair in the top and reinforced ink erosion in the signatures. The paper is bright and the text, both type set and hand written, is extremely clear. The note is well signed and the vignette of a ship at the upper left show terrific detail. We last sold this very note in our 2013 Fun Auction where it realized $881.
