    Description

    Virginia September 1, 1775 £12 PCGS Very Fine 35.
    Bright, well-printed, and boldly signed. The paper for these was extremely thin and very weak, and finding one without damage is a major accomplishment. This one is also sharply printed, with every detail of the ship at the left crystal clear. The indent is neatly cut and a larger portion remaining on the note than normally seen. Of the fifteen examples that PCGS has examined, only five have not been assigned Apparent grades for problems. This is the third finest of those five.
