    Description

Virginia October 20, 1777 $6 PCGS Apparent About New 50.
A lovely example of this later Virginia issue that is wonderfully printed with excellent signatures and a very minor restoration at the upper left that is barely noticeable except upon close inspection. For whatever reason, it seems that a vast majority of the high grade notes we have sold from this issue are of the $8 denomination. The last $6 note we sold was part of the 2011 Long Beach sale, a PMG AU 55 EPQ that realized $546.25 in a far inferior market than what exists today.
