    Description

Virginia October 16, 1780 (For Clothing the Army) $400 PMG Very Fine 20.
The specially authorized "speedy clothing the Army" notes are a much rarer series for this enactment date than the printed back notes. These uniface notes are printed on very frail, thin paper with typeset text within an ornamental border. The majority of these are very low grade and most are also missing pieces. Trimmed and splits are listed on the third party back label, but this is a full note with edges just outside the ornamental border. It is also the second highest PMG graded example.
