    Description

Virginia March 4, 1773 L5 Very Fine. A second incredible grade piece from this extremely rare issue. While it is nowhere near the quality of the L3 note that appears above, were it not for the presence of that L3 note, this L5 would be the finest example of the issue we've handled. While it does have a few small splits and holes, as well as a paperclip rust stain and some age spots, there is no paper loss and the note has terrific eye appeal. Virtually the entire intricately engraved indent remains at the left.
