    Description

Virginia September 1, 1775 L5 About New Repaired. There is a small repair at the top center not affecting any text and the Carter and Nicholas signatures are reinforced on the blank back as their ink has partially eroded the paper. The Dandridge and Norville signatures are perfect. This is the single highest grade James River bank form note that we have handled. The ship vignette is immaculate and but for the aforementioned problems the note shows no actual signs of circulation other than a single light fold. Unpriced above Very Fine in either Newman or Friedberg.
