    Description

Virginia October 20, 1777 $4, $5, $6, and $8 Vertical Strip of Four PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35.
From our Newman Collection, and only the second such strip we have ever seen, it is well-signed and extremely well-margined on three of the four sides, with the margins tight at the right. This issue was highly prone to damp spotting, and this strip certainly has not escaped that. PCGS has assigned the Apparent grade for "Stains; Small Edge Splits". A wonderful specialty item that is very nearly irreplaceable.
