    Description

Virginia October 16, 1780 $500 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
Bill was deliberately misspelled Qill as an anticounterfeiting device on this note. The denominations were printed on the back and are visible through the open border areas on the face. John Lyne, James Turner, and a third indistinguishable person were the signers on this example. This very thin paper issue seldom survives without problems.
