Virginia October 16, 1780 $300 About New. That any intact pieces of this issue survive at all is nothing short of a miracle. The issue is printed on extremely thin paper that has the strength and consistency of single-ply tissue. This particular example, while it does have a few minor edge splits, is one of the most complete and intact pieces we've ever seen. The paper is so thin that it is actually manufactured with gaps along its watermarks and wire lines. All three signatures and the serial number are dark and bold and, unlike most all examples of this issue, there is considerable margin all the way around.
