Description
Uncut Sheet of Six South Carolina December 23, 1776 $2-$3-$4-$2-$3-$4 Remainder PMG Very Fine 30.We have auctioned several strips of three of this issue and denominations, but this is our first offering of a full uncut sheet. This two signature (James Wakefield and John Dart) remainder would have required a total of four signatures and a penned serial number in order to be released into circulation. All of the notes on this sheet do have their correct Act dates as some notes for the issue were printed with an incorrect date. Splits are mentioned on the back label, but they are all located along the edges and within the center selvage save for a couple of small splits that are found within a $3 and $4 note.
